On the KPN sim card you can get a maximum of 10 euro credit. Standard 5 euro and you can get 5 euro of free credit when you top up for the first time.
After registering with KPN you can easily check your credit online. Of course you can also easily top up your credit online.
Do not forget to turn off the PIN code protection of the SIM card. You can do this by putting the SIM card (temporarily) into a mobile phone and using the (security) settings to switch the PIN code off.
