CCTV switches are equipped with a built-in range-extender so you can reach 250m with your PoE power supply! You can reach these distances by using CAT6 cabling.

The switches are also equipped with a 4kV overvoltage protection. Because cameras are often mounted outside, it is very important that the switch does not short-circuit due to an overvoltage on one of the cables and bring your camera network to a standstill.

To properly process all the data packets from your camera without losing packets, a buffer is necessary. Hikvision CCTV switches have a buffer for this, so the switch is optimally equipped to bring camera images to the recorder without loss.
